Why Plastic Pollution is Personal

Solution Category:	Solution Description:
Regulation	Banning microbeads inside of cosmetics to stop microplastic pollution increasing.
Perception	Using entertainment like a song to bring awareness to plastic pollution.
Technology	Change how our sewage system filters and operates, since it hasn’t had a big update since the early 1900’s.
Substitution	Changing cotton swab stems from plastic stems to paper stems reducing the plastic waste.

This video touches on the dangers of plastic and how unaware how much plastic humans are using, then throwing it out negatively impacting the earth.

How to Save our Planet

Solution Category:	Solution Description:
Formal Environmental Education	Make people aware of the problem of environmental health early on, at the start of grade school through college.
Restoration	Replant the over 3 trillion trees that humans have destroyed over centuries, and bring back the “natural/wild” side of earth.
Unrealistic	Have less population on earth so there’s less total consumption from the earth’s population, and focus on reducing overall consumption by each individual.
Conservation	Reduce the impact of Human consumption of natural resources, make sure that we can do what we’re doing forever, not temporarily.

During this video, it takes us to the past to demonstrate how humans got to where we are today, and why our earth is hurting. It also provides information on how we can bring back earth to a beautiful, thriving planet.

How Big Brands can Help Save Biodiversity

Solution Category:	Solution Description:
Collaboration	Ensuring every person in an environmental business understands their role and each other’s role for success. (People who cut the trees in a forest are not the same as the people who sell the products that come from those trees).
Public Environmental Education	Using people’s interests and twisting them into education about the environment. (food and implementing natural edible resources from environments into the food).
Political	Raising impoverished countries out of debt and getting their government stable so they can implement positive environmental practices.
Personal Consumption	Reducing the unit of consumption per person before 2050 so humans can thrive passed this century.

In this video, the speaker talks about how through financial and collaborative means, we can help the environment through wealth and science, which can make a bigger impact in less time.
